Is JOOLZ BAD NEWS ? Joolz Prams and Strollers could put your baby in danger !

Of the following, pick the one question you think is the most important when evaluating a stroller:

a. "How good does it look?"

b. "How good is the plastic that holds it together?"

If you chose a. well, the Joolz Strollers DO look good!

But is THAT your main concern when looking for your baby's ride?

When i first saw the Joolz i knew it was the perfect stroller for us. I just had to have it! With it's excellent design it was a sight to see! Big wheels filled with air promised good suspension, my baby would be comfy and I would be the star of the block whith such a cool stroller for my son! Affordable yet so advanced. That's what I thought.

Little did I know what DESIGN means when we're talking about baby products! Or rather what it should mean: Safety, safety AND SAFETY!

But I was in love with it at the time so...

Enter Joolz!

We bought the Joolz from babycare.nl, they were fast and efficient, delivered on time via UPS, great people to do business with!

The Joolz came, its wheel flat, we fixed that, minor detail we said, we went on holiday.

The Joolz was almost perfect. IF THE WORLD WAS FLAT! And I mean FLAT! Cause if you live in LA, forget about it! You need a hand break, it does not exist! The weight of both cart and baby is too much for you to hold while going down slopes. YOU NEED A HAND BREAK-YOU HAVE NONE.

And you need bigger front wheels cause you have a back wheel freedom that only goes as far as the small front wheels will allow. Any pavement crack and the small front wheels get stuck. Hey MILK DESIGN (the name of the company) THE WORLD IS ROUGH TERRAIN but although you say they do, your strollers cannot handle rough!

In time you find out they also should have used better fabrics and of course better stiching, cause the seat just falls apart, your baby being the monkey mine is!

And the front bar that your baby will bite into should have been covered with fabric cause your little bundle of oy! will soon be eating through it as if it was cake! Yes, it is soft and as nice as that may feel, your teething baby will bite it to pieces... Still, compared to what followed after a year of using the Joolz these are minor details!

Cause then came the BOOKSTORE STAIRS !

It was just a few days ago that on our way out of a bookstore, the handle broke off and to any owner of a Joolz that is BAD NEWS. Which means the JOOLZ IS BAD NEWS.

The Joolz Stroller is actually as good as its (weak) PLASTIC joints that connect the handle to the chassis. The handle by which all the weight of the stroller and your baby is being lifted. The handle which actually lifts all the weight as you go down stairs. The handle that is held in place by a UNRELIABLE PLASTIC JOINT that snapped !

If you are planning on having an accident, you'll get your wish!

Imagine your JOOLZ stroller falling apart as you are going down stairs. Imagine the JOOLZ stroller breaking apart separating you from your baby. You are left with the handle in your hands while your baby falls down the stairs. Worst case senario? Not really...

Our Joolz snapped on the left side handle joint while its wheels were halfway down the step while we were going down the stairs on our way out of the bookstore where we usually hang out.

The JOOLZ stroller lost all balance pulling us both down the stairs.Luckily I was quick enough to save my son and I just sprained my wrist in my effort to hold the weight of the stroller pulling on the side of the handle that was still attached to the chassis.

At first we were shocked. Then we became very upset. And now we are plain ANGRY.

Partly because, we contacted the company only to find out thay are very unprofessional and rude.

But mainly because a stroller SHOULD NEVER EVER BREAK APART LIKE THAT !
We are still waiting for a formal apology and compensation from the company or our lawyer will take it from here.

Test it, for a year, for 2 years, under the most difficult conditions.
TEST it and change the material of the Crucial JOINT
that holds it all together to METAL.

That's my opinion dear makers of the Joolz.

SO, MOMS AND DADS,

UNTIL WE HAVE A FORMAL ANSWER FROM MILK DESIGN
AND A PROMISE THEY WILL MAKE SURE THIS
NEVER EVER HAPPENS AGAIN.....

...I THINK YOU BETTER
STAY AWAY FROM THE JOOLZ products.
